Waqar Younis Maitla born in 16th November 1971. He is a former Pakistani cricketer with right-arm fast bowling known as one of the greatest and fastest bowlers of all time in cricket history. He is also the previous coach of the Pakistani national cricket team.
At the age of only 22 years in the year of 2012, Waqar Younis holds the record for the youngest Pakistani Test captain and the third youngest Test captain in cricket history. He played almost 87 International Tests and 262 One Day International matches for Pakistan national team during his international cricket career from the year of 1989 till 2003.

Waqar’s brand was his ability to give delivery of the bowling as reverse swing the cricket ball at high speed. He took near about 373 Test wickets in the international test cricket and 416 wickets in One Day International wickets during his career. Jointly with his bowling partner Wasim Akram the famous International Pakistani Cricketer, he formed one of the world’s most alarming bowling attacks. Waqar Younis has the best strike rate after Dale Steyn for any cricket bowler with over 350 international Test wickets. He is the youngest bowler who took 400 wickets in One Day International cricket.
Wakar Younis Pakistani Cricketer appointed as a bowling coach at the national side since 2006 to 2007. He also was appointed as the coach of the Pakistan cricket team on 3rd March in the year of 2010. He resigned from the post of Pakistan’s national team’s cricket coach on 19th August in the year of 2011 due to personal reasons. Then he attached Sunrisers Hyderabad on 2013 as their bowling coach for the Indian Premier League .
